In October, Go Ability welcomed back InclusLive Sport to run another round of multisport activities, this time during October half-term and visiting six new venues. Coaches met many newcomers at their sessions and created some good links with homes & centres around Kent.
InclusLive Director, Tom Tsangarides said: ‘Thanks to Go Ability it has been great to visit new groups further afield this time. Participants have been so engaged in taking up the range of taster activities we had to offer, trying in addition to football and rugby etc, less mainstream activities like yoga, boxing and athletics.’
It costs £4,000 to run a programme of sessions like the one that took place in October. Go Ability Trust’s Winter Appeal aims to raise this amount in time for February half-term 2019. Thanks to funds raised by The Corner-Tap, the appeal is well on its way.
Manager Shane Horton along with Chris Williams from Edible Culture were able to visit one of the sessions at Canterbury Day Service in the Prince of Wales Youth Centre, presenting a cheque from September’s event, meeting coaches, participants and experiencing first-hand the kind of difference their donation will make!
